I don't see much on here about Western Carolina University.
I got accepted and can't wait to start in Jan 2013.
Thought I would see who all else is starting with me!! :)
Or if any of the Alumni have any words of wisdom.
Thanks in advance.

I'm currently applying to Western's ABSN program for Spring 2013! I graduated in May from there with my BS in Psychology!

Hi,
I applied for spring 2013 and still waiting to see if I got in. I am curious to know how are you already accepted for spring? The deadline for the application was July 15th. If you already have your response then that means bad news for me. The application showed that the decisions are made within 6-8 wks. Well Congratulationson getting accepted WCU is a great school for Nsg. I recently graduated from WCU with my degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I am still hoping that I get in. I will let you know soon (Aug. 26ish).
OH and you are right, there is nothing on here about WCU. Hopefully we can change that... What do you say?
Hey! Are you applying for the ABSN program at Western? That is what I'm applying for too. Last I heard was that they are delaying a response on offering interviews because they are moving the program.. I'm wondering if that means they will accept more people? Anyway, what did you make on the TEAS and what is your GPA? I'm just trying to figure out my chances on getting in!
No, I am Taking the traditional route. Did you get in ???? For my TEAS, I made 87.3 and GPA 3.86. How about you ?
Oh find out tomorrow about the nursing decision!! Nervous... Hope they let me in !
I GoT IN!!! Did you hear back yet? Yes they are moving the program to cullowhee! but as far as accepting more people... I don't think that is going to happen. All health science majors at Western are moving to the new building. Good Luck!!!
They are moving the ABSN program closer to Biltmore in Asheville. That's the one I'm applying for. I've seen the new Health Sciences building. It's VERYY nice.
Congrats on getting in! I haven't heard yet.. I got an interview though so we'll see! Wish me luck!

Hey talk to class. I'll be starting up there too in Jan '13 along with two others from the hospital I work at. I'm getting pretty excited about it as the info packets should be here any day now. Shoot me an email anytime if you want to talk more (i don't check this) email: [email protected]

This thread sounds a little more positive than the other one I read about WCU's ASBN program. Now that the year is coming to an end, how do you feel about the program? I have some friends in the area who are interested, but can't get a good read from the outside.
Thanks guys, and congrats to those who are finishing up!!!
