Western Carolina University DNP 2018

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those of us who are applying to Western Carolina's DNP CRNA program that is set to start in May 2018. I figured it would be nice to meet some other applicants while we go through this process. Personally, it has been an exciting experience so far. I am just about finished with my personal essay and then I'll submit. Hopefully by the end of the week. Where is everyone else in the process?

Did you ask when you would hear during your interview?

I didn't ask during the interview. I asked the students afterwards.

I emailed administrative support today and they said to expect an answer in 1-2 weeks.

Hello! I interviewed yesterday morning! They called me on my drive back to give me a seat in the upcoming class of 2021. I am so excited and glad all this hard work paid off. Good luck to y'all! I hope to hear good new from you guys and to connect with my future fellow classmates!

Congrats! That is very exciting!!! I received a phone call early this morning saying I was selected as an alternate...pretty disappointed í ½í¸” but trying to keep positive and hoping for a spot to open! Congrats again!

hi phoenixb, I PM'd someone else by accident thinking it was your profile, my apologies to Rdallen. Anyways, Congratulations to you! My situation was similar to yours, heard back maybe like 4 hours after having interviewed and got the good news. To those on the alternate list, hold your head up! I was an alternate for the MSN class starting in January of 2018, to be honest, I'm still on the alternate list (havn't heard a deny yet). Keep your fingers crossed and stay positive.
