Hi! I finish my finals next week! I've started the application but waiting on more available brain space to finish it. Hoping to get it done before the end of the year. Are you taking pre-req's at AB Tech?

Same! I started it but haven't worked on the writing portion yet since I wanted to get through my chemistry finals first. Not at AB Tech, I finished my last pre-req at Central Piedmont CC because I'm located in the Charlotte area. Have you taken your TEAS? I'm taking it again before Christmas. I just took my TEAS for the second time this past week! I did OK the first time, but really wanted to bring up my Math score. This time I got an 88.7% overall, and brought math up from 75% to 94%! So def, happy with that. Good luck on your finals, the TEAS and with the rest of the application as well!

Does anyone know anything about the application process for 2024 beyond the Application Instructions word doc on the wcu.edu website? Has anyone received any correspondence from the panel yet? I ran into a group of WCU ABSN students at the hospital I work at and they said the application process has changed this year. One student indicated that there would not be interviews and the Experiences, Attributes and Personal Contributions questions/documents on NursingCAS were taking place of what used to be the interview.

I am just curious if this is accurate and if so, when we will receive any notification that our applications have been received and the process is underway. Judging by previous years' forums, it appears applicants were interviewed in February and notified by the second week in March. I am gonna be a nervous wreck if we won't have correspondence with the panel until March.

Hi Zach! I asked (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) at one of the open houses if there would be interviews, and she said the same as the students told you...that the experience summary and questions would take the place of the interview. I'm hoping we will get a notification when our application has been received. I noticed on NursingCAS that the deadline was moved to Jan 22! So, hopefully we'll hear something this week??

I'm with you on the nerves...I really hope we hear from them before March. My anxiety can't take it! LOL

Thank you for your reply Rosie. I received an email yesterday confirming receipt of my application. The email says, "We anticipate that admission decisions should be made no later than the middle of March."

Yes I did too. It looks like we have to respond by March 15?! I email and asked for an extension because I'm deciding between another school but have not heard anything back yet...
