Hi, I applied for the West Hills LVN-RN program. Just waiting to see If I am preselected.

Awesome, If you don't mind me asking, how many points did you apply with?

When I add mine up, looks like 83-84. Do you know about how many people apply to the LVN-RN? Someone mentioned its easier when applying from lvn-RN

If my calculations are correct, my score is 85ish. I didn't even count my points before submitting my application. I just calculated it now?. I'm pretty sure there is a long list of applicants, I was also told that its easier to get into a bridge program vs. a regular ADN program. Did you apply to any other programs? I applied for COS, Fresno City, and SJVC's 20 month ADN program. I had an interview with SJVC last week, but they won't notify anyone of acceptance until later this month/early next month.

Not yet. I'll be applying for SJVC bridge program on September.

Good luck. Hope you get in ?

Good Luck to you as well! A word of advice, when you apply for the SJVC bridge program. Study, study, study for the TEAS nursing fundamentals. I studied religiously for 6 months before taking the exam, and failed miserably ?

Really. I purchased the book. Do you think that will work ? What’s the passing score ?

Study the book, and purchase some of the practice tests on the ATI website. You will need higher than a 63.3%. I went in super confident, thinking I was going to score above the minimum score. I walked out with a 52%. Its all nursing fundamentals, so it is totally different than the TEAS VI exam.

can you still apply with a score under 63? or can you retake it?

You can still apply with a low score, I still had them process my application. but they would not allow me to retest, there is a wait time between tests. Some schools are 45 days some are 90 days. I tested 9/3 so there wouldn't have been enough time in between to retake the test.

OK so I got an update. They are taking about 10 for LVN-RN. She stated that last year there where about 50 applicants and range was from 94-88. they are still working on applications now and don't have an update for this year Hopefully we have a good chance ?

That's good to know! Did you apply to any other schools besides West Hills? I am also waiting on COS, their notifications are supposed to go out before April 1st.
