West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) - Coweta Campus 2022

Published

Is anyone else trying to apply to the West Georgia technical College program for the coweta campus location (Newnan)? Deadline to apply would be February 1 2022 to start the program Summer 2022. Would love to compare stats and go through this with others!

LOL I guess no one is applying and I have a good chance to get in haha. But for real I just submitted my application and talked to some people from the school this morning. They said of the people that got accepted last semester the average TEAS was an 81 and average GPA for a 3.67.

Hope that's helpful to whoever might be curious.

Hi! I'm applying there as well. I haven't submit my application though. What's your stats?

my GPA 3.76 and my TEAS score was an 81.3. I should be able to get the two extra points as well. (one for work experience and the other for doing my nurse aide through that school). I just submitted all my stuff and they said they were trying to go through them as they received them and would email me back with my score that they assign me. What are your stats?

I have a GPA of 3.65 and a TEAS score of 83.33. I took the TEAS twice, do you think I need to submit my first score or just the second one?

That's awesome! I think you have a great chance of getting in with those stats! I would submit whatever is highest. I also took it twice and just submitted the higher of the two.

Just a helpful hint to anyone who might see this. I applied on the sixth and have already gotten my score (it's now 1/11). They said they were trying to go through them as they receive them. The email that I got that had my score attached said that there were only 24 seats available (not to scare anyone I just like to have all the information I can and it makes me feel a little more prepared) I submitted paperwork from my employer to get the extra point for work experience but they didn't accept it because the time frame of my employment wasn't listed on the paper. Because I submitted my application so early, they are letting me get another letter and resubmit that for the additional point. If you are thinking about applying, go for it! The admissions coordinator is very kind and willing to help you if you run into any problems.

Hi thank you. I just checked my email and I also received my competitive selection score. That’s not much seats available, hopefully we get in. It really depends on how many applicants for the program. Do you mind asking your score?

I was trying to get an extra point too, but my employer is from a different state. It’s hard to get ahold of them.

my score was an 87.2. I've contacted my former employer and they are trying to get me the right document in time. With that it would make it an 88.2. What is your score, if you don't mind me asking?

That’s a great score. I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting in. My total competitive score is 86.20 ?

That's a great score! Based on past threads, I feel like our scores will give us both a pretty good shot of getting in. I just hate waiting!! Will you have a long commute if you do get accepted?

I hope so. ?? Do you have any idea how many applicants they accepted last year?

No not at all. This is actually the closest school from home, I’m from Newnan. I haven’t really look at other schools as well, I should’ve though.

Me too, I don’t like waiting but it is what it is. I pray for the best. Did you take your pre reqs online?
