Hey everyone. I submitted my documents already for Spring 2012 for the Murphy Campus and the deadline as I recall is August 15, 2011. I took the NLN on the 11th in Lagrange and got a 127 composite score. Anyone else applying??

Yeah I would call and get that taken care of. I'm sure it will be fine!

Congrats slangley on your score/grades!!! I am still playing the wait game for my competitive review score. I would imagine it will be hear sometime soon.

@ KellyMarie1989 being listed as an out of state student will affect your finacial status but not your competitive score so you will be fine. Good luck guys, I'll post as soon as I get my letter.

hi ladies, i also applied for spring 2012, and i have a concern. i started college 5 years ago at another university; however, those courses on that transcript do not include the courses needed for competitive selection. i completed the majority of my prerequisites at wgtc and my transcript for the university is not on file. does anyone know if the lack of my university transcript on file would disqualify me from the competitive selection process? i don't know whom to contact regarding this issue.

Hi Motivatedmommy,

Got a few questions for you....Where did you take you Anatomy 1 and 2, College Algerbra, PSY1101, ENG 1101? How long ago did you turn in your applicaion? What did you make on the nln?

Those are the only grades that will be calculated towards the 40% competitive selection. You will also have to have Micro compleated before the start date of the program. So as long as those grades are on file then you are fine. :)

Per the website: "Students must achieve a minimum National League for Nursing (NLN) Pre-RN Admission Entrance composite percentile score of 85 percent The score earned on the pre-RN exam willcomprise 60 percent of the overall score.

 Students must achieve a cumulative minimum grade point average of 3.0 on the seven (7) Level I core courses required for eligibility to the selection process. The academic performancedemonstrated in these required Level I courses will comprise 40 percent of the overall score.

Lorraineatl,

I took Anatomy 1, and Psychology at GSU and the other 3 required courses at WGTC. I turned in my application on the deadline and made a 96 on the nln. I also completed Microbiology at WGTC during the Spring quarter.

" Students must achieve a cumulative minimum grade point average of 3.0 on the seven (7) Level I core courses required for eligibility to the selection process. The academic performancedemonstrated in these required Level I courses will comprise 40 percent of the overall score."

I'm confused with the above statement- I thought it was 5 required courses not counting Microbiology?

Since when was there a minimum NLN score of 85% in order to apply? I had no idea. I wonder how many people applied without knowledge of this information. Did they notify you all via email or did your advisors tell you?

https://www.nlnonlinetesting.org/manuals/NLN_PAX_RN_Composite_Percentile_Conversion_Table.pdf

Click on the link and match your composite score up to the percentile and that percentile has to be great than 85%. Hope this helps! :)

Hi Motivatedmommy, The updated information on the NLN and the classes was updated back in May of this year. Since they have gotten away with the Interview, the score is now a min of 85%. The 7 classes will change as of the next entrance because the school has moved to Semesters and the labs are now taught seperate and s a seperate course. So if you have the 5 then you are good. Sorry if I confused you. :)

Thank you all for answering, as I understand it now. However, I looked at the NLN score link and according to the site, my score would be a 97, but on my print out sheet from the testing site (which is also the same sheet I turned in for competitive selection), it says 96 under the AD. I'm wondering which score is accurate? I took the NLN in march. Has the scoring/ reporting changed since then?

My calculated score out of 100 is a 94.6. Not sure if that is competitive enough, but I am very anxious. Does anyone know how many will be accepted for spring 2012?

Im not 100% sure how many will be accepted. Last I knew it was 35, but it may be more since then. I am still waiting on my score letter. I also turned mines in on 8/11/11. Maybe sometime this week we will be getting a score and hopefully we will have yes/no letters by mid September. :) Good luck everyone, I will post as soon as I get some more info.

I applied! This is so emotional for me. I wanna know if I got in but with your scores I am a little sad. I calculated mine and I have a 92.5. I really do not know what to think. I also heard 217 people applied and they only have 25 seats. But our advisor told me a few months ago there were 35? Anyone heard anything?

wow....yall are worried and you guys have in the 90's..my score as I calculated it is 87 out of a 100. I should be worried...lol...and 217 people applied...thats alot! im very worried, scared and freaked out!!! :uhoh3:

Anyone besides "Slangley" received a letter yet? I just checked my mail and still nothing... hate waiting!!!!!
