West Chester University Pa Advance 2 BSN

Published

Has anyone applied to West Chester University Advance 2 BSN program. I applied 2 weeks ago. How long does it takes for them to contact you for an interview. What is the interview process like? Do they concentrate mainly on science GPA or overall GPA? I know they only accept about 25 people a semester, is this a very hard program to get into? Thanks

Hey, I havent applied yet (still taking AnP II), but I plan on applying for the May 10 cohort. I emailed people there several times and each time I hear something different. Im not sure how long it takes them to get back to you, but I would guess relatively quickly since your going to start in January. When I first asked how competitive it was I was told they get over 100 applicants for 25 spots. Then recently I emailed the new woman who took over and she said they accept around 60% of the applicants and the main reason that people get rejected is because they dont have all the pre-reqs complete. So im not sure who to go by, but either way it sounds sort of competitive. Keep me posted with any info you get, Im curious as to how the process works as well.

Thanks for the reply!! I was scedualed for an interview a couple of days after that post. The interview process went well. She mainly asked basic questions, like why do you want to be a nurse, what field do you want to go into, prior experience, etc. I had a C+ in one of my pre requisites, so if you have a C she is going to question you on that. But its a time where you can ask any questions, and she will give you alot of information about the program. Hopefully I get accepted, I know by getting a interview that is a good sign. She said acceptance letters will be sent out in October. I will let you know what happens.

Congrats on the interview, thats definitely a good sign! What was your previous degree in? I have a BS in biology and chemistry so I def have one C in the bio course we need. Took that as a freshman, but everything else I have an A in so I should be ok I hope. Did they tell you any info on the acceptance rate and how many people apply? Also, did you hear anything about tuition? I read on here thats its the cheapest in the state at like 15,000 or something but I couldnt find anyhting on the website to verify that. Thanks for any info.
