Well, I was planning on raising the subject of nurses pay rise, or rather the lack of it,but I seem to have arrived at tea-break so I will come back later!

Hi Kaylesh,

I see that you like living in Scotland. I miss it so much sometimes. My whole family pretty much are all still there. I am however, planning a trip this summer. It is still a ways off yet but, looking forward to it. I see you are hailing from FIfe. I grew up in the big city of Glasgow. Thanks for the welcome to this forum. I will be back often to be sure.

Hi lisamct

Yes! I do hope the weather is decent when I go. What kind of nursing do you do? How long have you been nursing? I would be interested to know.

ScottieRN, Im a learning disability nurse and have been qualified since 1994.Right now Im working in an NHS run resource centre for adults with learning disabilities as senior staff nurse in a house for 6 men with challenging behaviours.

Im hoping in a few years to go into midwifery (I know its a big difference!) and I'd also like to travel however I need to work on convincing my other half that its a good idea first:)

What about you?

Lisa

I am currently in a Long term care facility with 150 residents.

Iam hoping to move on to perioperative nursing in the future.
