I have decided that I would like to pursue nursing, but I am just unsure how I should go about it. I have been doing a lot of research on accreditation, price, job placement, etc... I would like some opinions on the options that I have. My first option is to apply to Keiser University and just take the core classes since my prerequisites are complete, but would be a hefty price tag, I would have no nursing experience once I graduate, and I would be struggling majorly with finances as I attend school for 2 years. My second option would be to get my LPN certification and then to apply for the transition program at a community college and work as an LPN as I go to school. I have pretty much ruled out applying to community colleges for their basic nursing program since I have no chance (have been denied a few times already.) I have heard that the transition program is easier to get into than the basic. Any recommendations/opinions are welcome.
Thank you
