Hey all,
I have wanted to attend nursing school for 2 years and I have finally gotten the chance to take time off of work and take a full time program. I am registered to take the TEAS exam on the 20th any advice?

I took the TEAS test in January and did really well. I used the ATI study manual to prepare. I read the entire thing and worked out all practice problems more than once. I also purchased the two online practice tests which were really helpful. BUT be aware that the actual test (at least version C) was far easier than the online practice tests. I scored just below or at the minimum passing scores for my school (Reading 81.0%, Math 76.7%, Science 70.8%, English 73.3%, Composite 73.3%) on the first online practice that I took. Then I studied for a few months and took the second online practice the very night before my actual test and scored even lower than the first practice. But on the actual test I did very well: Reading 95.2, Math 93.3, Science 89.6, English 93.3, Composite 92.7. Take the online practice exams but don't let them discourage you.
The difference in difficulty between practice tests and the actual test wasn't in the material covered (they had very similar questions), it was in the answer options (A,B,C,D). On the practice tests the answers were very similar and it was difficult to distinguish the correct answer even when I knew the material; but on the actual test the answer options would give two explicitly wrong answers, one feasible answer and one correct answer which made it far easier to choose the correct option.
Hope this helps a little! Good luck!
