wedding rings at work

Hi All,

I'm just curious if nurses even wear their wedding rings at work. Does it get in the way when you put gloves on, or get full of soap and lotion gunk?

Scratch people?

Do you wish you had a different style that worked better?

Just curious what most nurses do.

About the perfume..... I'm not allergic to perfume but I CAN'T STAND THE SMELL OF SOME PEOPLE'S PERFUME!!!! I have IgA Nephropathy and after I have a flare up I usually end up extremely nauseous for 1-2 weeks. If I get a wiff of someone wearing a cheap well, shall we say..... musk (usually to cover up cigarette smell) I'll yak right then and there! :barf02:

I would imagine that a patient in the hospital (or where ever) who is feeling queazy (pregnancy, GI upset, major hang-over.... etc) would probably appreciate if the nurse/aide/doc/housekeeping..... coming in didn't smell like a walking talking section of Walmarts favorite fragrances. Blah

It doesn't just have to be an allergic reaction. The smell can be really offensive to people with sensitive noses. I don't mind a little light scent, but if you lay it on thick, I'm gonna puke! :barf02:

Ugh. I just got my wedding ring and engagement ring soldered... I hadnt even thought about the cuts.
