Wcccd will be starting their lpn program January 2019. Has anyone applied or considering applying? How are you studying for the HESI? Have you been to an information session?
I'll be applying but I'm so nervous about the math on the HESI. I've been studying and working on my essay for the last 2 weeks.

I've applied for the RN program just waiting on my acceptance letter. I took the HESI and I'm going to assume the math will be the same. There was plenty of ratios and a few story problems. Don't be nervous, get the recommended book and study. When I get home I can give you more details on the math problems that was on the test.

Hey, i just found out about the lpn program at wcccd and i was looking to get the inside scoop about the info session. i plan to go this tuesday. i already taken the hesi previously for my school earlier this year so i was wondering if i can just transfer my scores. are they requiring the science portion on the hesi ? my school didnt they just required english, vocab, and math. I didnt have to write a essay on my last hesi i just took in march. Is the essay seperate from the hesi ?I wonder if alot of people will apply to the program. I already applied for MonroeCCC lpn program last month. Im sooooo excited to get the ball finally rolling. i been taking prereqs for nursing since jan 2017!
BNRJoslyn You cant transfer your HESI. The math and reading sections are the only required sections plus critical thinking and a learning assessment. You HAVE to take it at wcccd. They only accept 24 students per class and 48 per year. November 15 is the deadline to apply to the program. The essay is part of the application process, not the hesi. I think a lot of people will apply. I went to the first one they had and it was less than 50 of us but the last one over 200 people showed up.
