I'm getting ready to start a job as a field WC Nurse Case Manager. Any suggestions on books or resources that you found helpful? Thanks!

There is a lot to know; here are some threads that might help:

https://allnurses.com/case-management-nursing/new-wc-cm-932925.html

This one includes resources:

By the way, your question is very broad and has been asked answered in many threads. On the other hand, if you ask a specific question related to WC, I am sure GrnTea and others will be able to answer you with very good details. Good luck and welcome! :)
Thank you. I didn't mean to be so vague in my question. I have actually read through all of those threads in the past and they were very helpful in describing the role of a WC Case Manager. In fact, I ended up purchasing the Nursing Case Management book (Cohen and Cesta) because of the suggestion in the last thread you shared. I guess I was hoping there were some books/online resources that were specific to Worker's Comp?? Maybe there aren't any. I'm just trying to prepare myself as much as possible before I start the job...and maybe have some books ready to go if there are CM's that have found them to be helpful. I guess I'll just take off running and see how it goes! Thank you for the reply!

There really aren't any specific books for WC. This is a "hands on" learning and no amount of books will prepare you. Just don't wear your "feelings on your sleeve". It can be really tough. But don't let that scare you. There are some good patients out there that will appreciate your help Although you will be accused of "spying for the ins company" by some. Good luck
