Watts School of Nursing June

Published

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Ok, so I got the rest of my immun'z yesterday. Dag Nabit...my arms are sore. But, I was very pleased to find out that the nurse put little tweety bird bandaids over the holes. That made me happy. Plus they drew a Kitty around my TB test site. Really cool!!!!

Guess I'll have to wait till Fri to find out if I'm infected!!!!! Dum Dum Dum:eek:

So, Tar, I just started on the Religion questions - do we just go to the book and look up the answers and regurgitate the book into our answers?? Nothing fancy, right?

If you get big blisters and a rash and burning itching, I'm sure you're okay, no

need to worry :)

Yes...injest and barf it back out on your paper. That's all, I just cite the book in mine. You get extra credit that way.... but he won't tell you that.

Thanks for the whole rash, sweating thing, but I don't have anything at the site. Totally clear so I think I'm clean.

Glad to know you're concerned.....THANKS:yeah:

Tar, Did you notice that the syllabus says Hopfe 11th edition, 2010 and the book says 2009? Or did I get the wrong book?

I think you got the right one. Mine was the 11th edition, but the most recent copyright was in 2009. All the questions and pages match up with the syllabus too.

Wouldn't worry too much about it. Its the newest edition.

I can't find a more recent edition!!!!

I sure would like to know what books to order for Watts. Do you think they will let us know soon?

Yup, mine looks exactly like the one at the MOC bookstore. Ten bucks says its a syllabus typo. Doesn't matter anyway....He'll tell us to throw out most of the syllabus anyway. Oh, and it is possible to bargain with him on the total amount of questions that are required. We lobbied successfully in the last class to carve out a bunch of the total amount of Q's due. I'm gonna try again.

Hey Rummy...we're not using books. They're gonna do hand puppets during class for all of the scenarios that we might come up against.

New teaching style.....I just hope for our sake it works!!!!

I like puppets - sounds fun!!

Maybe they will have a list of books for us at our fitting?

Okay, Tar, then like the key concepts for quiz 1 - how do you find those without reading? They are not easily found in the glossary!!

CRANIAL OSMOSIS.....Do whatever you need to do to get the points.

You'll find a lot of the key concepts just by doing the questions!!!!
