Watts School of Nursing June

Published

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Keyna....it sounds like you already know those bones.

Can anybody explain to me the "plueral effusion" and the sentence about how too much pleural fluid may present as "blunting" of costophrenic angles? This was after I left last week and I have no idea what it's talking about.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

automated external defibrillator

Like in the picture labeled A, see how the right lung looks rounded at the bottom and shorter than the left? The fluid is denser and shows up more on the film as whiteness, where you can actually see the whole bottom part of the left lung.

Red, I know the FEMS bones, but I couldn't remember if she dinged it or not, do you know??

anyone need the slides printed out for tomorrow while I'm at the copier?

You're the bomb!! Now it makes sense to me.

As far as the FEMS bones, she only dinged that vacities w/in bones surrounding the nasal cavity are called sinuses. So just know that the sinuses are located in those bones.

Darn, Jennip, I just printed them before I head for lunch. Thanks for the offer tho!

Thanks, Red :)

still no Soc grade here... sigh... paper still not done... grrr...

oh well i'm going to study A&P...

Wow, the next a&p chapter is long...thought I would knock that out today, but I guess not.

Jennip - if you're printing slides I'd definitely like some. My printer went from a yellow exclamation to a red 'X' ... I think it's mad at me

Bee- she probably just threw our stuff in the trash...
