Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Finishing with my last source, then I can throw the paper together. :yeah: May wait until moring for that and work on some A&P for something different.

That's a great topic Jennip!. Jeep, your right, it doen't say that on the syllabus, but thats how I understood what she said and how Rum explained what she was doing. She also said we need 5 sources that wasn't in the syllabus either. :confused:

I think you have to add one more thing........

Think of it like this Sociology views the "major institutions" found in all society, which are:

Family; Organizations; Government; Politics; Education; and Religion

Common "concerns" within those institutions are:

Culture; Deviance; Stratification; Crime; Social Movements; Sexuality and Gender; Race (I consider this ethnicity because there's only one "race" of people, humans); and Social Problems

So if you choose one topic, say "Criminals in the Federal Prison System", and use three of the "concerns" to look at your topic, that should be what she wants.

Sound right?

Taking a brain break and going to the grocery store. How exciting!! Jeep, you'll come up with something. Look at the news website or something. I got my idea this morning from TV. A show that teens run on Sat. morning. They mentioned it and I was able to look at 3 of the areas within that subject.

rous- there is no way in the world to get all that information!!!!!! i already tried looking something like that up... and there is no way i can make 5 pages... did i mention i hate this class? i don't feel like i've learned anything!!!!! except how to be stressed... :(

Jeep, you can do it, just try to slow down and think about one topic from 3 different viewpoints. I wasn't able to even understand the assignment until I starting googling random sociological concepts etc. I had to basically map it out on paper so I understood. Teach def has not made it easy! I feel like the lectures, answers to ?'s, assignments, syllabus, slides etc just confuse me more. I've never had to go to outside venues to learn material for a class!

We can do it, just remember it'll all be over in a week and a half!!
