Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

out shopping for a new base layer at REI!!!! and a new rain jacket!!!!! :)

Oh, you're spoiled!! What rain jacket did you get? I have a great one I really like - REI brand. Like $300 - I got it like 1/3 off. It's got the armpit vents, it's all welded and a well designed hood, but it is a bit heavy and doesn't wad up to fit in your pocket.....I need a really lightweight one.

i ended up with a patagonia torrent shell, light weight but warm!!!! pit zips, hood... nice! too bad i can't use it this weekend :(

wait.... $300?!?!?! it was only $119!!! the marmot one i was looking at was $170!!!!! i went with a synthetic base layer because it was half the price as the smart wool!!!!!!

Okay, maybe that was the wine talking....I think it was $160-180 I paid...whatever the original price was. Too dang expensive anyway. I've read about the torrent - nice. You should have taken it out tonite..nice and cool.

Smart wool is great, comfy, but expensive. I don't really have enough base layer stuff. Don't even have a full set of long undies. (Ps. love marmot!)

Must be nice to have that kind of disposible income!!!! I have a personal goal to reach the bottom of the poverty list by the time school is done! That way anything I make will be HUGE.!!

I'm already at that level! Don't forget, they don't have 3 kids like we do. They can be self indulgent and not have to worry about putting food on the table. Ahhhh I remember those days:rolleyes:

Cuts are no fun. I got rid of cable and now just watch whatever is on the free channels. At least I get Without a Trace. Not that I have time to watch t.v.

My kids just informed me that we don't have anyway to watch March Madness. I hadn't thought about that until now. We haven't had TV for over 6 months. Don't really miss is at all. Guess we'll have to walk down the street to a friends house for the games.
