Hi
If any of you remember I was looking to gain a place to Uni to start the path of becoming a RN.
Unfortunately I didnt get an offer in the 2nd round either. I have just emailed the uni to see if there is any hope at all otherwise it looks like i have to wait until next year.
I am very disappointed especially since i got a high mark in the mature age entry exam (i am 27). Nursing was a really really popular course this year.
Good luck to everyone that did get in.

Sorry Nomi just reliesed your from SA, so disregard what I said about Notre dame. I had the same problem when I was a school leaver, not enough points etc etc. I also wasint competetive enough to get into an enrolled program at TAFE and by that time i had left it to late. Something that I can suggest that was suggested to me was to go out and to get as much experience you can. eg volouteer work, do a PCA course, start working in nursing in some way. I know aged care is a good place to start. The universities do look favourably on people who have shown initative to go out and get some experience wether it be paid or not. I know here in WA silverchain look for volounteers in the health care setting. Good luck to you and when you do get into Nursing you are going to feel fanatastic because of the hard work you did. (I know I did).
