You have asked a very broad question. What you're asking very easily can be a very lengthy post that would be worthy of a chapter or three in most textbooks I've ever read, depending upon the depth that the textbook goes into. While I'm happy to help as much as I can, without knowing what exactly you're looking for, I won't be able to without effectively writing a very complete and lengthy post about it. I'm not going to do that because that would take a very long time and you probably could have the information you need by reading a textbook that's already likely available to you.
Please get much more specific because nobody will be able to help you much.

Feet are funky. Many people can't or don't maintain their feet and nails as they should- as they do the tires on their cars. Stink. Fungus. Dirt. Crust. Sores. Never healing wounds. Ghastly/overgrown toenails. Gangrene. More stink. And misc. funk and goo and gunk. But it's an ever more important field as the diabetes rate escalates, even as podiatrists are not held in much esteem.
