Hey I am in an ADN Program starting in the fall. I want to join the reserves after I pass my boards. About 10 years ago I got a disorderly conduct. The case was dismissed... I got an ACOD (adjournment in contemplation of dismissal). And I have not had any problems since. I want to join the reserves then go active after using the strap program. Could I possibly get commissioned? Anybody's thoughts would be welcome, especially those currently serving. Thanks.

So what does it say on your DD214? IF you received an honorable discharge or a general discharge I would say you would be a GO.

Make sure you talk to a Health Care Recruiter!

Oops, my bad!

Again, make sure you make your initial inquiries to a Health Care Recruiter.

That was 10 years ago: that was then, this is now.

If you have "kept your nose clean" (a coll. expression for staying out of trouble) since then, Shouldn't be a problem.

Good luck with your application process! Hey, keep us here on AN posted as to your progress, okay?
