Walden University-Class Overload?

Nursing Students NP Students

Hello!

I am currently enrolled in the FNP program at Walden University. I was wondering what your thoughts were regarding taking Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced Pathophysiology, and Health Assessment together. Am I setting myself up for failure? By adding the third class, I would be graduating twelve weeks early. I currently have all A's in my core courses. Thanks for your input and assistance!

I live in Texas, I’ve been trying to call UTA for they’re FNP program , but no luck . Can you tell me your opinion of UTA? And why you’re considering Walden ?

Hi @Salmo23,RN! I actually did my RN to BSN online through UTA and loved it, so i decided to continue with them for my MSN. Unfortunately, I am unexpectedly having to move from TX to South Dakota and UTA isnt authorized in SD. So that's why I've been looking into Walden. I'm surprised you havent heard back, they are usually very response. I LOVE UTA and am devastated that I have to change schools. The courses are well structured and consistent in overall structure course to course, the faculty and students are all very engaged. It is very intense but I feel it is an exceptional educational experience.

Oh my goodness . That’s so sad. I know Walden is a private/for profit school, but I’ve heard mixed reviews. I’ve been calling UTA, to ask if they accept BSN graduates? My friend got her AGCP at UTA and loved it too.

Hi. I know this post is 2 years old. I’m currently a student in Walden University for my MSN FNP, and I’m finishing my transition to graduate study for Nursing in 2 weeks. I was wondering if doing Policy and Advocacy course together with Transforming Nursing and HC through technology is doable for a quarter. I’m working full time and have a 6 month old. I don’t know if I should go part time.
And how long did it take for you guys to graduate the whole course? Ideally I want to finish in 2 years. But IDK now.
