Any one with an opinion about Walden BSN to MSN on line degree program?

*** Yes, it's outrageously expensive. Look into the University of Wyoming's online BSN to MSN.
What is cost?

it is 16,000 for MSN if you have a BSN. Without BSN it is $20,000. That is including everything-tuition, books, etc.
I think it is good deal. I wil be starting OCt 29th.

I start 9/4 and it is CHEAP even compared to state schools. PLUS it is all online. I can't afford to work part time or take 2 days off from work to attend the brick and mortar schools. I work M-F, 9-5 and have a family. One class is taken at a time so you can really concentrate on the subject at hand. Ask me any questions- I looked at more than a dozen schools.
I start Oct.29. I am doing the ADN to MSN. I don't have a BSN. It is still cheaper to do Walden this way--20 grand total for MSN...LEt me know how it goes for you. I was supposed to start 9/4 but had 1 more prereq to do....(taking a clep test on 9/7)

Shari,
I have a BSN so it will take 2 years at Walden to get my MSN. I have been very happy with the process and helpfullness of all involved in Walden so far.

how are your classes going? are they labor intensive?
Start official classes 9/4. I have taken other e-learning/online courses for my job so I do have experience with this format.
They have a tutorial prior to class to walk you through the online learning realm that is very helpful.
I'll let you know after I'm really doing the work.
My adviser says that a minimum of 1 1/2 hours per day is the norm for each class (you take one class at a time-8 weeks for each class)
I already peruse the internet and google 1 hour per day-this will actually be productive time;)
