Waiting times?

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

I applied to nursing school in October '07, it seems like I am already out for the August start date. How long is the wait for most of you? Im starting to get dicouraged, they said I would only have to wait a year. I want to start school already!!! Any advise is helpful!!:sniff:

I applied at the same time that you did, Oct '07 to the MCCD program. I was told that the wait was 1 to 1.5 year wait. I also applied to the Banner Fellows program in Jan '08 and was accepted - starting Block 1 on 7/14. I do believe that the more schools/programs that you are willing to attend (read: flexibility), then your wait time will decrease. However, if you are only wanting 1 particular program at 1 particular school - you have extended your wait time.

I just applied to MCCD program (June '08) and was told 1.5 year wait to get started in nursing school. It's frustrating.... I applied to the Banner program as well ~ I plan on working there anyway, so it seemed natural to try for the program.

We have to be patient!! Which I am not, so it's rough...

Or you could apply to one of the expensive technical schools around the state....

I work for Banner as well but did not want to do the fellowship due to it being an Accelerated program and I am not a fan of signing contracts. Besides, if I apply now I would probably get into the MCCD program first. I have all the choices for schools (I think there are 5) so I am not minimizing my chances. I am just frustrated with the waiting. I have also heard that Boswell has a short waiting time, which is my second choice, I am guessing that is a rumor since I am still not in!
