Waiting On A Reponse!!

Nursing Students General Students

I took my nln nursing test with the thought that I would fail because I didn't study at all. Then got my results and wasn't sure what they meant. Come to find out I get an interview for the school of nursing. Actually it's tomorrow! Im so nervous. I do not want to mess up being that I got this far. Wish me luck guys!!

Catma63, I'm kinda surprised at this. The interview for admission to my school was also fairly laid back, but we did have one. Although it's certainly time-consuming for the school staff, I think it could be an important piece of the puzzle when admission to so many programs is so competitive.

At the other end of the spectrum, the interview I had for a summer externship position at a local hospital was definitely more intense. More like being raked over the coals! :chair: I haven't heard yet whether or not I got a spot - should hear something by the end of the month.

Isn't it interesting the differences in nursing school admissions? I never even really heard the nursing instructors until the first day of orientation and that was a group thing. I've heard of students having to write a paper as to why they want to be a nurse....never had to do that either.

Bestest of luck on the news you're awaiting! Don't forget to let us all know!

I think all schools are different. I applied to two. One is small and private, and they want 3 reference letters, personal statement written on site, and interview. The other school is a large university, and they only go by gpa and reading test score. I am waiting to do my interview at the first, and the second notifies by the 10th week of the semester, and the waiting is awful!

:)

I GOT ACCEPTED wuhoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Mrsmariangie!

Yes, all the schools are different. The ADN program in my area doesn't interview, but the BSN program does.

Go figure.
