Waiting list

Good Evening! I am new tothis site and have found the people to be very honest and give great advice when others need it.

I need it...I have never worked in Health Care. And have applied to the nursing program in county. My academic advisor said that I had a great chance of being one of the 60 students admitted to the program. Well my letter came only to state that I was one of probably hundreds of students on the waiting list. When I called the dean she said that all she could tell me was that I was high on the list. How high on the list?

Should I think that my name will be called if someone drops or fails? I feel like such a dispointment. I have never wanted something so bad. I feel like I would be a great nurse and could make a difference in some many ways.

It could be that you are among the top 60 that they have room for!!!!

Find other nursing schools within the area to where you would be willing to travel. Find the cut off date for the application process. As you get accepted into other programs, YOU have the option of accepting or declining admission. Don't give up! There are reasons for everything. Maybe the school you chose first wasn't the right one for you.
