waiting for BRN to respond

Hi,

Does anybody know for how long will take the RNB to respond, if I applied last months for licensure by examination and my school sent all my paperwork from overseas at the same time? I mean, the board recieved everything 4 weeks ago.

Thx

You are a foreign trained nurse, therefore you are looking at four to six months to get approval. Requirements are different for nurses that trained out of the US, and the CA BRN does their own credential evaluation. You have to allow two weeks for them just to get the letter posted as being received. Do not expect any contact from them until later on. For each application that they receive, if they need to respond to all, then the time frame will be much longer in getting approval.

Will move this to the International Forum since it is more specific to foreign nurses. Other questions can be answered for you there as well.
