Hey guys!

Starting this forum for everyone who applied to the Traditional B.S program at VCU. I haven't seen any pages on the internet for this so here you go!

Post questions/comments or whatever you'd like!

Does anyone know how to pay the deposit?

No worries. I have guaranteed admission @ Jefferson College of health Sciences in Roanoke, VA. I just don't feel like moving from the RVA area.

Hi, golgicomplex,

I was waitlisted as well. I actually applied for the fall of 2018 for the traditional BSN program for both VCU and Bon Secours. I got accepted into the BSN in Bon Secours, while waitlisted for VCU's BSN program. I am very confused now. Don't know which one to go. Considering cheaper tuition, I want to go to VCU. But they told me they are gonna select the candidates from waitlist until the first day of classes - January 14, 2019. I don't know what my number is on the ranking of waitlist and have not idea how many people will be selected from the waitlist. It is such a long time to wait and yet not know if finally I can be admitted.

You're really lucky you got in at Bon Secour I wish I could have applied. I never took any testings so I had no SAT scores to provided and that's one of their requirements. I would be ecstatic if I got into Bon Secours. I totally understand where you come from being stuck in the middle with no answers. That's how I'm feeling too. It really sucks because I put all my eggs in one basket. I was so hopeful and confident I was going to get into the program and I didn't. I had to change my major to PSY recently. I'm a Junior so I kinda had no option, I had to in order to register for classes. Since I pretty much completed all of my Pre-Reqs. I'm just praying a spot will open up. Now I'm stuck having to get a PSY degree which isn't bad but it's not what I was aiming for. I'm going to have to stick with it and apply to the accelerated after I graduate if I don't get called off the waitlist.

Hello! i just found this forum and noticed that some of you got waitlisted, as did I. And I was wondering if anyone has gotten accepted form the waitlist yet?

I have not been but I got into the northern Virginia community college program so that's my plan

Hi, alexismcarring,

I am on the waitlist too. So far, I haven't heard anything from VCU.

Hello Appletree66, I called the School of Nursing a few days ago, but unfortunately they said there is no set date that they notify by. So, we will just have to continue to wait. I'm glad i know I'm not the only who hasn't hear back though!

I would like to know if anyone else was excepted to the VCU BSN program in May for the fall of 2018. After 2 months of hounding my advisor on what classes I need to take I was finally given my class schedule this week 6/28/18, but found out that the classes are all full. Big disappointment, but I was told I can take the required classes at my community collage here and then start in January with the spring classes at VCU. Its just that some of the classes are not available so I will have to take summer classes in 2019 or double up in the spring and this something I wasn't trying to do. Sometimes I think they are trying to see how bad we really want it...

I am on the waitlist for VCU traditional BSN 2018. Now it is July 21, 2018, I have not heard any news from VCU school of nursing. Did anyone who also is on the waitlist already receive a notice about being admitted to this program so far?

@Zoie004 I will be taking the required classes at my community college too. Honestly, I'm not too mad about it because it saves me lots of money! I'm only going to be taking Microbiology this semester.
