I've started working on the requirements that we need to do on Certified Profile. Just to let everyone know, if you're looking for uniforms, certifiedprofile has a deal with allheart (medical supplies including scrubs) where you can get up to 18% off. RE: All Heart discount

I just ordered some of my uniform stuff on All Heart. I couldn't tell if there was actually a discount for the Certified Profile users or if they just showed their sales. The clothing seemed better priced than my online browsing of other stores like WalMart. Shoes were the same general cost. I have a discount code for 5% off the next purchase. It expires on June 30th and there's no way I'll be using it. You can use it first come first served. Coupon Code: 1580. There's also free shipping if you sign up for the e-mail alerts which saved me like $14 so definitely do that. There was a little issue with the coupon code not processing the first time so I had to call and get it taken off but that was super easy. Hope this helps!

I just finished this program... You guys are in for a whirlwind!!! Strap in and get ready to put much of your life outside of nursing school on hold for the next year. It will all be worth it in the end! Good luck!

Hi,

What was the typical schedule for classes? Do you stay past 5 PM, I am considering applying for fall 2015 intake, but I have small kids and live way out in Ashburn. I think I can make it by 6 PM to pick them up if I were to leave any place by 5 PM.

The schedule was different each semester. Fall semester classes were in the morning 0730 to about 1330 MWF. Then we had clinical on either Tuesday or Thursday, which ever day you did had clinical you would have lab on the other. I had clinical on Tuesday and then lab on Thursday. Clinical was from 0630 until 1630. The sites varied so I'm not sure about driving times. I was lucky to have my clinical site close to home. But I know several people who had to drive long distances (i.e. 1.5 hr for clinical).

Spring semester classes were at the Manassas campus MWF with clinicals on Tuesday and Thursday. We still had lab at the Fairfax campus so would have to drive to PWC from Fairfax once per week. Classes were from about 1030 until 1630.... then clinical was from 0630 to 1430.

A piece of advice for you would be to have someone else pick up your children and watch them until you get home. Many times you don't get your schedule until maybe a week ( or less!) before they're scheduled to start so it would be wise to have a plan in place and then readjust once you have a better idea of your schedule. This program is intense and was not easy for people with small kids or jobs or both, but somehow they managed to fit it all in. If you're dedicated and plan ahead, you can do it too. It will be frustrating though! No doubt about that!
