Any other applicants out there? Does anyone know how many applications are submitted each year for the DNAP program? Good luck everyone!!
Do people really get off the waitlist? (anyone from previous cohorts know the answer)
Last year, I know of one person getting off the waitlist in December a few weeks before orientation, and another person getting off the waitlist within the first week of the semester starting. But honestly, it all depends on the situation and if they have anyone drop out, so I'm sure it's not a good predictor.
Hey out there! Which of you are from Abingdon? Have you started planning for your trip to Richmond yet? I was thinking of making reservations at L'opossum for dinner one night and am extending the invitation to the class. I thought it would be a great way to get to know our peers. If interested in being added to the reservation list feel free to email me at [email protected]
HiFor people that have been accepted for this cohort in richmond, when are you guys moving to Richmond ? I am just trying to decide whether I should move in December or wait till July or August next year? Thank you.
Hi! I am thinking we will be moving sometime in May because my husband needs to find a job etc. Also, just an FYI, I created a FB group for everyone that got in to join, I pm'd your name. You may find quicker responses there! :)
Hey, not sure if any of you still check this board, but I'm interviewing on May 2 for the VCU etpDNAP program that a lot of you are in. I was just curious if they do separate the interview dates by city. For example, is May 2 a Roanoke day? Did any of you apply with preference to one site and end up at another? Any advice on the exam that VCU notoriously has? Are they simple CCRN questions or did you feel they were pretty tough?

From my experience, there was a mix. Mine had predominantly Richmond folks with a mix of Roanoke and NOVA. There were other groups that were heavier on other sites. I applied with open preference so I cannot speak to that. I think keeping yourself open is helpful though. As far as the VCU exam, we can not tell you much, but it would be a good idea to study like you would for the CCRN. Identify your weak areas and work on those. Good luck! :)

It's probably good to assume a rejection. I suspect these mailed letters will begin with "We regret to inform you..."
It is frustrating to wait over 6 weeks though to hear a verdict.
