VETPRO QUESTION

VetPro says to list all of the employers you've worked for is that just RN or would my LPN experience count? ALSO How far back do they go for employment? I have 20+ years of nursing experience but only 11 as RN

I think you go back 5 years if i am not mistaken.....with 11 yrs you can put places you have worked as an RN and i remember my recruiter asked me to list my job as an RN (BSN) because that's what i was being considered for.Of course that might be different for a new grad without any RN experience who would probably put wherever they have worked prior to RN degree. You just have to make sure there are no gaps because it will come back and ask you for explanation. There are also 3 references that you have to make sure their informations are correct.

One thing i know is that every VA does things a little differently, so i would ask my recruiter or HR person handling the VETPRO and they'll explain what you need to do. Hope this helps..and Good luck!

You will need to enter all employment since you received your first license. If this means entering 40 years worth of jobs, so be it. The VetPro system will not let you submit unless all time is accounted for. Now, the credentialers may only use the last 10 years to check you out, but the system will require all of it. Also, make sure you have accurate addresses for those folks that can verify your information in the last 10 years. You will not want to put in things like "The Work Number" . instead, find a supervisor that will agree to complete the form and enter their information. This will ensure forms are returned in a timely manner and assist you in getting the highest pay when you go to boards. Last, when you enter personal reference information, make sure they are going to talk nice about you. Sounds ridiculous but you would be amazed! Good luck!
