I am entering the final semester of my pre-requisites for my BSN. Unfortunately, I am currently living in Kansas and will be moving to Maryland in the summer and will go to school there. I have been looking at the University of Maryland's nursing program. I currently have a 3.2 GPA and am confused to as if I even have a chance to getting into ANY BSN program. The program at KU here isn't as selective as UMD and to get in there you almost need a 4.0.
I have been getting all As recently and am hoping my GPA will pop up to a 3.3 after next semester. Is this good enough to get into a BSN program? Or am I going to have to get my ADN and transfer to an RN-BSN program? I'm really frustrated. Any advice is appreciated.

Every nursing program is different. Here in Florida, the requirements aren't as stringent, but it depends on which school and how large the demand is. Your best bet is to contact the director for the program at the University of Maryland and find out what your options are.

the program at um @ baltimore is super competive. they were at a transfer session at my college and require high GPA and great TEAS scores. Wouldn't give a "get this GPA and you are in" but also went on to say that 3.4 is the average GPA last year... You can see if you can take some remedials at the local community colleges, or press your luck and apply outright, but me I am shooting for strait A's.
