Hello has anyone took the entrance exam for the veeb lpn program in long island if so how was it?

Because all of section 1 was in the basement until clinicals on the 28th then when we come back we go to the classes then all of sect 2 will be at clinicals basically not enough class rooms for all of us @nellabella

@nellabella it wasnt bad all i was thinking about was food and air the basement is hot as fudge. Im just glad all those test was not today

Damn sounds like I seen you but, I still can't put a finger on it. Say hi to me when you see me either before class, in between breaks or when it's time to leave

Hope you guys enjoying this first week of school!!

Majority of you guys have or can find my email make sure you keep it. May not need it now but later on IT GETS REAL lol any advice I can give i'm down to help

Looking through the posts I missed since I haven't been looking the main stuff is I guess the snow issue which someone addressed. VEEB will close if its bad but after they used up their snow days in a sense due to it being clock hour any other bad snow days after that they will definitely stay open. Be careful cause my cousin got into a car accident coming to veeb one day on a day where it should have definitely been closed. It was on a Friday they legit were like oh well be here Monday and make sure you get that medical clearance.

That is a huge thing as well be careful telling veeb anything about yourself if you have a cold it can equal game over. You have to have a medical clearance from your doctor like ASAP you will miss school or clinical and they don't care so if you someone low on hours for the semester and you get sick and they notice (Mind you everyone is an RN or better they will definitely notice if you are sick good luck trying to hide it).

I remember my friend called me to say hey not feeling well tell the clinical instructor I won't be coming in today (we had clinicals that week it was our second week in clinicals during first semester)

I told the instructor whose name I can't mention lol cause this post will get deleted

I told her oh such and such can't come in today she is feeling a bit under the weather

legit she told me to my face "well since you are in contact with her you can call and let her know she can't return to school until she gets a medical clearance"

I was like O.O REALLY...........How am I even involved in this. I felt so bad calling her back telling her this nonsense. Thankfully she got the clearance over the weekend. Don't sleep on them though they are really tough when it comes to that stuff

As for the posts I seen about people working full time almost guarantee you will have to cut those hours second or third but plenty work through it. I for one increased my hours in second and third I noticed the busier I was the more I cherished my study time versus being super free and playing xbox all day or something and not really focusing lol

Lastly remember study them all equally especially later on

Blue packet seems super simple but its get harder trust. Not for first though

Pink packet will want to eat all your study time but try not to let it. Pink packet will be teaching you pharm. This first quiz is about communication I believe? We all got 100 on it so don't get hyped lol it gets so much worse and quickly.

It goes fast you will be surprised when you are at clinicals for the first time while still in September like O.O what is going on just BE ON TIME

Every clinical instructor is different some may be cool with you not finding the place or parking for 20 minutes. Another will send you back to the school its really crazy how personalities differ. Learn the cool ones and learn the ones that don't play that quickly. If you need to scout the clinical sites on Sunday on google maps or take a drive there yourself. Look for parking and always pay attention to street signs. If clinical starts at 8am realistically you should be out there at like 7:30am or before looking for parking. They will not hold up class and quite a few instructors will send you home and in second and third that more then likely means kicked out the program.

Best of luck and my bad for the rant I just wanted to say how was class going but then the memories come flooding in and I just have to preach lol

Thank you so much for for this!!! I can tell already that they dont play. And is it me or do some of the clinical instructors look like they can't be trusted??cherrylicious, nikkisoheavenly, what section sre you guys in?? Any ppl from Brooklyn that use public transport to get to this veeb program? What is the travel like? I've been thinking about coming here, but don't own a car. Is it going to be tough trying to get to the program on time?

Also, how hard is the entrance exam, and do you guys have any recs for a study guide (like should I buy the ged book and study from that... etc, etc..)? I want to be super prepared when I take that test (when next it's made available). :nailbiting:
