VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

No Bcuz I beleive ever1 tese waz diffrent but on my exam I had a Lot Of fraction prob ex ....

i am taking the veeb entrance test in mid-march. here are my questions:

1 - are there examples of previous tests that i can see/download from online?

2 - on the day of the test, is everyone's exam different?

3 - what are the sections? how much time per section?

4 - what is the level of each section: math ( ???? grade) vocabulary (????? grade) grammar (??? grade) composition (???? grade).

5 - knowing what you know now, after taking the test, what do you think you would have done differently in order to prepare better?

Well I called to find out what passing is for each section and the lady told me 9th-12th grade made could and will b on the test. So basically high school math. I still think the bulk is fractions decimals

I just called again. And the lady said " kindergarden math -12th grade math is on the test and that u must pass on a 9th grade level of math and 11th grade level for vocab"

So I guess there is tons of math but we I my have to get the 9th grade level questions correct. I dunno man :-(

I took my test on feb 5th. I passed it last year, but i still studied. I believe i passed the test, but the fees went up!!!!!! Its 1,500.00 down payment, books are 600.00 instead of 500.00. But it will be worth it!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in nassau county 15 mins away from veebs. Is there anyone else who lives in nassau planning to attend veebs in 2009??

hope u did well u should know your scores in about two weeks. yes what problems were on the test. i believe someone said fractions decimals multiplication n division :-(

u dont need to pay anyone 50.00 per hour. u have to have a 9th grade math level. i believe the math is 37 question in 34 min. the main emphasis was intergers( remember the rules, there is enough intergers question on the test and if u dont know the rule u will not do so well. its adding,subtracting,multiplying, dividing decimals. exponets, proportions(2), regular adding, subtracting, multiplying,and division. u have to anwser 80 voc questions in 24 mins(what does futile, perfect, adhere) reading comp i think it was 38 question in 40 mins. the key is dont get nervous anwser all the questions u know and go back and guess the rest do not leave any blanks. go on line to the website mathdrills.com and u can print out free math sheets. for the reading and voc u can go to the book store and purchase a book for like 13.00 bucks.

pray and relax and just take the test. u will be just fine

Yea I was gonna mention dont pay anyone 50 or any amount. We jus need the hard work. I know I been slacking past few months and now forced to cram but I'll stick in there. $175 doesn't come easy so I'll focus the hardest I ever have for two weeks n pray
