VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this and I was wondering if anyone is taking their pre entrance exam on Wed. the 23rd of this month?? I'm extremely nervous because I tried to get into this school last year and missed the application deadline:mad:. This year I got an application on Valentine's Day, which was the first day they started giving them out (I'm on top of it, this time around :yeah:lol). I'm trying to figure out if anyone else is as nervous as me and what their thoughts are exactly. Thanks in advance:) Idk if whether or not I can recieve personal messages on this forum but if not my email is: [email protected]

Well i am also in the same situation as you are. i have no idea about the exam. but i heard that it's really hard and they only accept 200 students. i still haven't get the application. i am really nervous. i wish someone can tell about the exam.

Can someone please help me out with the enterence exam for Veeb. Is it hard? What is it based on?

The test is not hard at all its basic math (decimal, multiplication, division and fractions) reading is pretty much understanding what you just read and english is understanding meaning of a particular word that is given, I think where the anxiety kicks in is when they give you 20min for a 30question test, but pace yourself and you guys would be fine...goodluck

Thank you so much classychell:up:! I go to take it tomorrow, so I'll let you know what I think MegaSharma:)

I am scared about the English part. English is my second language and my vocabulary is worse. I really want to pass this exam. I am sure i can do it with all of your help.

I took my exam today, and I think I did pretty well or atleast I hope so lol. It's not as bad as we think just like classychell stated. Keep studying and you'll be just fine. Make sure you leave yourself with enough time to complete the test. Alot of people that I took the exam with today didn't have enough time to finsh because they didn't pace themselves properly. Remember the time is the challenge, not so much the exam! You'll do just fine!!GOOD LUCK w/ everything and I hope we'll be future classmates!:) ( I hope I pass)

Hi everyone I took my exam February 22 I believe one of the first test dates. I wanted to go to this school last year however my due date was to close to when school started so I choose to try this year. The exam like classchell stated is not bad at all I actually thought it was really easy. I have been telling my husband since yesterday that maybe I thought it was easy but it really wasn't. I would really like to get in. I left the military for this. Trust me its a big change for me.

But what was the exam about? How was the vocabulary? i am actually good in math but not in English. please tell me some more about the exam and what is it exactly about? what kind of vocabulary words do they give and how many questions are there? What type of words are there? how many reading comprehension ques are there? Explain the Vocabulary and English part.

The vocab was about 38 or 40 questions with random words, not medical terms. The reading comprehension had about 4 passages for you to read and along with each passage there were maybe 5 or 6 questions about what you just read. The reading comprehension part is the easiest part because the answers are right in front of you (it's literally what you just read). You'll be fine! Sorry I cant expand on the vocab, not that I dont want to, it's just that I cant remember the words I had. It's everyday vocabulary, nothing too outrageous.

I feel exactly the same way you do GoaLSeeker! That maybe I thought it was easy, but in fact it wasn't!!! UGH! I want this soooooo bad!!!

Is it all multiple choice? Actually English is not my 2nd language so i am really nervous. Specially the vocabulary part. Can u tell me if i want to study which book is better specially for vocabulary? I REALLY WANT TO PASS THAT EXAM!!!! And i am scared.
