Vanderbilt Residency Program Summer/Fall 2019

Hey guys!

I am in the process of applying to Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency Program for the Summer/Fall 2019 Cohort! I figured I'd make this forum because I've been in search of one and can't seem to find any. I'm in a 5 semester Nursing Program so I graduate in August and am hoping for a spot in the Fall Cohort!

What track are you guys applying to? Where are you from? Would love to get a conversation started!

I'm from Florida. Also applying to Vanderbilt's nursing residency program for fall but I'm getting a little discouraged because I have nothing to write down for the experience section (work, volunteer, leadership) within the last six months. Unless nursing clinical count as volunteer experience but I'm not sure if they allow that on that section. Anyways, I have these experiences just not in the last six months! Also I wonder how competitive this program is.

Hi, I am also from Florida! I'm having the same concern about the experience section, as well. I have heard the program is really competitive. I don't have my hopes up, hahaha. But even if I don't get in, I know that I at least tried! There's no harm in applying and if anything I'll take it as practice for future job applications/interviews.

I’m from Florida as well and I have the same concerns about the experience section! Hoping that other areas of the application take precedent over that. I just fully submitted mine the other day! It’s going to be a long month of anxious waiting
