Hi everyone!

I haven’t seen a thread for Vanderbilt applicants for the Summer/Fall 2019 cohort, so I thought I would get us started!

What track are you applying to and why? Have you submitted your application and letter of intent?

Hey!! I made a forum for Summer/Fall the other day too! I’m hoping for a spot in the Fall cohort as I graduate in August. Just finished submitting everything! Now just anxiously waiting with fingers crossed

I'm applying as well! I am a little late submitting my initial app, do you guys know what is in the second part of the application they send? And how long they take to send it once you submit the first part?

The second part has resume, experience, letter of intent, references and some other stuff. I think they sent it in about 48 hours

Isn't that pretty much what the first part is too? I submitted all of that in the first part.

Based on some other forums I’ve read on here, people started hearing about interviews around the 20th of February. We’re getting close!

How soon after an interview do you find out? Does anyone know anyone that has gone through the Residency Program?

One girl I know who was hired and graduated in December 2017 (started in February 2018) found out within a week. Most people hear back within 2 weeks from what I know.

I graduate in May and I applied to peds critical care. What did y’all apply for? Did y’all apply to other hospitals as well?

My first choice was Trauma ICU, but I put the other critical care choices as my other options because I really want ICU. I'll be applying for other residency programs as well when they start opening. I graduate in August so I'm looking for October cohorts.
