I'm looking for information regarding van rensselaer manor cna training program in Troy. I'm currently a student at suny albny and ws wondering if it was possible to do the program while in school . I was wondering how long the program takes and can i work nights and weekends after certification. Any help will be appreciated if you know of another paid of free cna program in albany or nyc please post. thank you :redbeathe

I can't speak to that specific program, but I have taught CNA classes in LTC facilities in the past. They generally run for 2-6 weeks, and the ones I've heard of are on days- and whatever time they are scheduled there are no exceptions and no absences allowed (there are a specific number of hours required before you can test- and if someone can't show up for 2 weeks, most facilities aren't interested in them...)
As far as working nights or weekends, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking... CNA certificates are not limited to one shift. If you're a CNA, you're a CNA :)
