I just submitted my application to this program and I'm hoping for the best. Anyone else here applying?
So I was just searching around on atlas on Valencia and it looks like they pulled all of the degree audits already, says for VCC my overall GPA is. 3.675 since they only counted the preqs but I should have a 3.6 science GPA and other prequest as a 3.65. I also received a teas of 83.3 which is really low compared to a lot of people so I hope that doesn't defer me. Also applied to SSC but I was missing that 1 credit nutrition class so that puts me at the very bottom of the pot.
BUT! Reading from previous forums, it seems like if someone got accepted into SSC and Valencia if they get accepted into SSC their name gets taken out for the kids at Valencia since most of them accept the same. If anyone knows if this is true or not please let me know hecusse if so if u look at the statistics online, I think for their were 129 applicants with like 70 accepted (sorry I'm typing on my phone and too lazy to switch tabs lol) and for Valencia 126 applicants with 47 accepted which means their were only like 50 applicants left over and 47 of those 50 that didn't get accepted into SSC is at Valencia if that is the way the system works. So don't get your hopes down to fast I'm kinda upset just because of my TEAS but I'm praying for the best.
Lastly, what's WGU? Any information you can give on that incase this doesn't work out lol.
xoRNlife it looks like we have similar scores & GPA.
If my TEAS score was higher than 83.3, I wouldn't feel so worried. I got rejected from UCF's traditional nursing program, so I am praying that I get accepted into this one. I thought 83.3 was a solid Teas score but compared to others it is a lot lower.... that is honestly all that I am worried about.
Do any of you guys have back up plans IF things go south and aren't accepted? Just out of curiosity

If I'm not accepted to concurrent then I'll likely go the traditional route if that option's still available for fall. Or reapply to the concurrent program for Spring 2018.
WGU is a school system located out west, called western governors university. They're CCNE accredited and have a Florida location. They're my fallback bc I'm not sure if I have the discipline for online school. I'd like to think I do but I don't really. If neither of those options work out, I'll look into the Accelerated BSN through UCF. I should've done that the first time around but didn't et my application into UCF in a timely manner before the nursing deadline was up. Live and learn I guess lol.

Last year's applicants got acceptance letters by June 16th. I keep wondering what to do between now and around then to keep myself occupied. I have no chill.
