Valencia traditional track nursing application Fall 2018

Hi, I submitted an application for the traditional track nursing program at Valencia on 4/20 and I made my payment on 5/1. But it's after 24hrs and my application still says incomplete. Is anyone else having this issue?

I think the reason why my status took 3 days to chang was because I only paid the $15 and I didn't pay the nursing application online. It was $30. I went into my account and saw that I had a pending account of $30 and when I went to pay it, my status was changed. Did you pay the $30 fee?

I am pretty sure it should only be $15 unless you applied to both the daytime and evening program-then $30 would be correct.

Do you know if you have to complete the SLS course before submitting the application? And if the health information session was a requirement

I am not sure about the SLS but I know the health info session was only a recommendation not a requirement.

Did you complete your SLS? It's the new student experience and the mandatory courses that are listed on the application guide. I just read about it today and it made me nervous, I'm scared that it might be a requirement and if you don't complete it, it's an automatic rejection.

I did not take SLS because I have a BS degree so I am exempt from taking it. Have you generated reviewed a degree audit? In Atlas, go to the Students tab, scroll down towards middle bottom of page and choose My Academic Progess (degree audit). Then choose view previous audit-then choose Nursing Admission Check, if it's an option. Once you see it, it should show all that is required (classes, TEAS score) and if it is completed for the nursing program. That should help.

I did. I also have my AA degree from another school so Idk if that'll exempt me from taking it. I did generate a degree audit for AS nursing admission check and it says that I have met all of the requirements before I applied. It's probably nothing. I'm probably worrying myself to death. Thank you for answering all of my questions though!

No problem! It sounds like you are fine since you have your AA and since your degree audit says you are good. The SLS class is for first time in college students, so we don't have to take it as far as I understand.

I'm so anxious and excited at the same time but I think we will be accepted for Fall if we meet the requirements and have completed all of our prerequisites before we applied :) i'll Keep you updated on my status once it changes

My teas is a 70% and I have a 3.3 GPA. It's not great but I had two advisors who told me that the nursing program is a first come first serve program and I had a friend who had a 3.0 and a 64% on the TEAS who got in last Fall 2017

After summer term, I will have a 3.0 with a 69% teas. But my science gpa is not a 3.0. Which is what's required.

The advisors told me that they required an overall GPA. Your science gpa matters but so does your overall. It seems as if almost anyone could get in at Valencia as long as you meet the requirements. I've heard it from colleagues that are in the program now and the nursing advisors as well.
