Valencia Generic Fall 2016

Hi all! Just wanted to start a new thread for those of you who are submitting an application for Valencia's Generic ASN Pogram for Fall 2016! I just submitted my application yesterday 4/12/16! Let me know if you're applying for Fall as well! :)

Yay I was notified last Thursday.. Totally worth the wait!! Now just running around like crazy to get everything done. Congratulations!!!:)

Congrats to you as well! I've been going crazy too with all the paperwork lol I just submitted my background check today and will try to drop off the change of major form tomorrow! Cant wait for orientation :)

Same here! I scanned the change of major and sent it on sunday, got my physical and TB done today, as well as blood work for titers, and my drug test... I'm going tomorrow for my fingerprinting which is at a UPS (I thought that was weird, lol).. all adding up $$$ and we are only in the beginning, but again so worth it... I bet these 3 weeks will fly for everyone trying to get all this paperwork done.

Where did you go to get your TB test and titers? I was planning on going to get my physical done at my regular physician's office next week since I have appointment scheduled anyways. I'm not to sure about my vaccinations, I can't seem to locate my records. I know after orientation we are able to get everything done but I was thinking of just visiting a nearby location and doing it all ahead of time.

Check with your insurance and they may cover your tb test and your dr can do it at your physical.. My insurance covered it all including my lab work for my titers (my dr sent with the paper needed to labcorp), and even your titers may be covered if you have to get them the number on the back of your insurance card can answer it all. I sometimes just go to Walgreens or cvs to their clinics to get in quicker when sick but when I was looking them up for this stuff they don't accept insurance you have to pay for it at time of service. In my case it was all better (cheaper) to just go through my dr. As for your shot records have you tried your pediatric dr? Thankfully I only had one my whole life and they just had to get them from storage, but if not you can always check with the health department..

Thank you so much! I do have insurance thankfully so I will try to see if my Doctor can do it all for me at my appointment. UCF was able to give me a copy of my records that I submitted when I started school so that was helpful! When you upload your documents for the vaccines do you have to upload the same sheet for all of them?

Wow! You are on the ball! I feel like there is so much to do! I paid for the background package last night, I feel like I need a cheerleader to point me in the next direction. I will likely use Centra Care, I just moved here, don't have a PCP, and have terrible insurance.

Meydiaz you are welcome! Also my best friend had called Castle Branch and they said yes just upload the same thing, that's what I did.

hmbnh88, I completely know what you mean about needing a cheerleader, funny thing my best friend and I both got in and we were talking earlier about how nice it is to have each other because there is just so much!! This website has answered alot too!

You are so lucky! I was actually accepted to the nursing program in Jacksonville for this past spring semester and turned it down. Had I accepted it, I would have been with many friends. It makes it much easier!

Hey,

Question about fingerprinting. You said you did it at the UPS store, that is weird. I cannot find any directions on the papers, is it any UPS store? I want to get it done ASAP, I kinda forgot about it.

Yes Heather I thought the EXACT same thing.. Really ups??? But yes indeed that's where it's at.. When you go through the steps for making the appointment on it will show according to the zip code you enter.. Not sure if they are all at ups stores but that's where mine was :)

P.S. It's not on any of the papers we printed out it is the first thing on your to-do list, it'll send you the the daon website to register.
