Valencia College Nursing Traditional Track

Published

My biggest concern with the Valencia College Nursing program Application is if my application can get denied. I have all my pre reqs done as well as a relatively high teas score and good GPA. I don't want to be sitting around for months and then to find out my application gets denied. I do not have a problem waiting just as long as I know I will be accepted. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Jman88! I would be willing to help however you would have to tell me your GPA and your TEAS score! From my understanding if you meet the criteria you automatically get accepted! however, you WILL be wait listed! (As of right now you will be wait listed for two semesters!)

Good luck!

I actually just went to a health info session at Valencia last week. A HUGE misconception is that Valencia has a waiting list... and that is not true. This is coming straight from the nursing advisors mouths at the session. To be accepted into the Valencia traditional track, you must have a 3.0 overall gpa, a 3.0 SCIENCE gpa, AND a 3.0 general education gpa....yes, they look at 3 SEPERATE GPA's. You must also have a 64.9% on your TEAS exam, and must meet all of the pre-req qualifications. Once this is all completed, you can submit your nursing application. At that time, you will be accepted and placed into the next admitting program. You will not technically be wait listed becuase you will have a seat in their program... it may not necessarily be for the term you applied for BUT you will have a seat. Its a first come, first serve basis.

where did you hear that someone will be wait listed for two semesters? The nursing advisors are still currently working with students now for admission into this fall.... and they just said that last week? Also..... Valencia does not technically have a waiting list. I asked this question last week and was told it is a rolling admission, not a wait list. Please let me know where you heard we have to wait 2 semesters..... this is new to me... thank you
