Valencia College ADN Spring 2019

Hi,

I have been looking for a spring 2019 thread but I have not found one, so I decided to make one. I have applied to Valencia College nursing program spring 2019, and just wanted to connect with others who are doing the same! I'm excited and nervous at the same time, I hope I can get in!

I am hoping to find out soon, since nursing orentantion is November 9. I keep checking everyday, I hope I did not put my application in to late.

Me too! Do you guys know if we can have our vaccines ready or do we have to take after the orientation?

Hey,

I've had better luck emailing them. I know orientation is November 9th. I am not sure which vaccines are needed so I haven't done mine yet. Good luck to everyone!

You can definitely get vaccines taken care of ahead of time. You will either need proof of the vaccine, or a titer showing that you have immunity. I've attached a link to the physical/immunization form that Valencia requires you to complete for the nursing program (this is what they will be sending you, however it is already online for anyone to view.)

I would try and get as many of these taken care of as you can ahead of time. Dig up any old immunization records you have. Part of the process is using Castlebranch, which is a website/company Valencia uses to get all of your records together. If you can dig up old lab results or documentation of immunizations, having them ready to go will make the process go faster.

If you have official documentation of the vaccine, you don't have to get a titer. They won't accept your word on it though, you have to provide documentation of one or the other.

Does anyone know when they will start sending out acceptance letters?

I'm pretty sure I got mine last night but didn't see the email in my yahoo account till this morning to check my Atlas email. So I am going to check when I get home from work today. I applied on July 27 and will update you when I know!

Hopefully this week will be the week, maybe?? Crossing fingers!

I don't want to spend money on shots and a background check until I know that I am in the program.

I hope sooooo.. I hate this waiting.. I just took hepatitis B shot, flu shot and I had my titles ready.. I hope to have an answer by next week!
