Hi, for those of you that have completed the Valencia College Accelerated LPN to RN Bridge, can you give us some information on the program and how it works?
Can you work full time while completing the program?
How many days a week do you have to go to the school?
How many days a week are the clinicals?
Any suggestions on completing the program successfully?
Is in class better than online?

Hey I graduated from the program fall 2019
Yes you can but you have to be super organized as there is a lot of reading that you have to get done
You only go on test days or lab days
clinical is only once a week. The only time you'd have it twice is if you have medsurg and mental health clinical
Find Youtube videos that help break down the information and do a lot of practice questions
I prefer online class but I feel like it makes it harder because there are no lectures

Do you feel like the lectures prepared you for the test?? What scores did you need to pass the semester? I’m going back and forth between this school and others because of the tuition.
The downside to this program is that there are no lectures. Before applying I didn't know this. You're basically given a long reading list to get through with tons of chapter. You get weekly discussions to do and case studies. The program is pretty affordable compared to other schools. To pass you're test average had to be 77% or better before they add in any other assignments
That sounds scary. Did you only meet the teacher on test day? Are there no recorded lectures? Did you feel like it was paced out enough for you to pass? And this program is only 4 semesters or is it 5? I know it’s a lot of questions LOL. Tuition wise it’s great I just have this fear of failing out (bad test anxiety).
It was pretty rough trying to teach yourself. You saw you're proffesor on orientation, lab, and test days. The program is 3 semesters long. First semester is fundamentals, OB/peds. Second semester is med surgery 1. Third semester is advanced medsurg and leadership. Mental health is merged into each semester. LOL its fine. The tuition is what really made me do it. I have really bad test anxiety too. I actually failed the 3rd semester and had to repeat it. I passed it the second time around.
But on top of the reading did you have power points and stuff? Was tuition like 1 or 2,000 per semester? Your last post had me thinking I’m more of a classroom interaction person and it also motivates me. Thanks for answering!
