VA tuition reimbursement

HI all. I just started at the VA and am wondering what types of tuition reimbursement/scholarships they offer nurses that are interested in doing a MSN. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

I was told that they do provide money for MSN but this is only if the money is available. Their priority money wise is for NA to RN . In order to receive money for your MSN you must commit to work for them for a certain amount of time after you complete. Please be aware though that if you are terminated during your commitment time you are obligated to repay the money plus interest.

I am new to the VA. A fellow RN told me that she and two friends recently finished AD to BSN programs. Her two friends went through the VA tuition reimbursement program. I don't know the details but there is a commitment afterward if the VA pays. They can also move you to whichever unit they want to during this commitment period. The two friends are on a unit they really dislike but apparently are stuck there for some time. Maybe someone else can clarify this? It may be a local decision. I don't know.
