Does anyone know or have an idea if working at a VA hospital helps during the application process for entering the Reserves? Does it speed the process along or give an added edge or "bonus" to the resume??

It wouldn't speed up the process - however I'm sure you could have great Letters of Recommendation and a statement of motivation depicting your dedication for working/helping Soldiers~
Thank you. I am applying to the local VA now and Navy Nurse Corps in January, and I was hoping that was the case....... Just another confirmation that it is the right decision. Leaving my current hospital after 15 years of nursing and want to make sure I'm making the right decisions..........
If you are leaving on good terms you could also put together your navy packet at this time - as far as the LORs from your previous job experience. Sounds good!
