Had an interview 8/15/11 for an outpatient clinic RN position; felt it went very well. The interviewing manager gave me her business card and asked me to call and let her know if I was interested in the position; stating they would be calling back around 08/26/11. The day after the interview I emailed a thank you note to both she and the other person who interviewed me and expressed my interest in the position. I have yet to hear anything. I sent a 2nd email to the interviewing manager and asked if the job had been filled and also left a message with HR as to whether the job has been filled. Still no response.
1) Does the VA send out letters to those who interviewed and were not hired?
2) Is it unusual to not hear anything for a few weeks after an interview?
I would just love to have this job. I appreciate any input. Thanks!
