UWF Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi there!

I'm applying to UWF's Nursing Program and I want to know who else is and what their stats are? I have a 4.0 prereq and overall. My TEAS was 82.7 I took it for the first time today :( no so good. I'm probably going to take it again in a month.

I live in the Debary area and all I really hear about it UCF's Nursing (I'm applying there too). I'd like to know what everyone has heard about UWF'S program like where do they do their clinicals and average NCLEX pass rates.

I feel like there's so much I need to learn. Let me know if you are in the same boat.

I think you are in great shape Abr13! I did send an email on Monday to see if notifications had been sent out. I was told that the selections have been made, but notifications have not been sent out to anyone. They will go out at some point this week, but no exact day was given. The wait is kind of rough. I'm a nervous wreck:nailbiting:

Do you know how many people they are looking on taking for this class?

They are taking fifty from what I understand.

Has anyone heard anything or received an update as to when notifications will go out?

I'm still waiting as well! getting anxious, should hear anytime now it seems!

Hi everybody, I also applied to UWF's BSN program. Just got an ACCEPTANCE email about 5 minutes ago! Super stoked!!! Good Luck to everyone else waiting!

I got accepted too :) see you guys soon!

Just got my acceptance email!! So happy!!! I'll see ya'll in the Fall!

Hey everybody i just got my acceptance email today as well! Super happy I worked hard! Anyway i think its important that we all list are stats and whether or not we got accept for future applicants that want to do research on what UWF is looking for but cant find any real life stats. I think we all have been there and i already see a couple people have already done so but i am hoping to attract some others to do the same. So i'll start. I have a 3.73 GPA , 80 on my Teas, 1 recommended class, and 110 volunteer hours at a health care faculty. YOUR TURN!

I have a 4.0 gpa, 87 TEAS, 1 healthcare facility volunteer letter, 1 work experience letter & completed every recommended course other than organic chem.

I was accepted into the program but unfortunately will have to pass the offer bc I was accepted into FSUs Accelerated nursing program this fall. Anyways my stats were 3.6 undergraduate GPA, 3.8 prereq GPA, 76 on TEAS, and worked at a drug and alcohol rehab center as a receptionist while I was applying.

I got accepted as well! I had a 3.7 Pre-req, 78 TEAS, 3/4 Recommended classes. I'm not familiar with the area at all. Does anybody know where a good place to live is? Apts, condos, etc. I'm from Melbourne and I'm probably going to make the trip up there in the next couple of weeks.
