UTMB Spring 2011

Published

Quota for this semester is 100.

Does anyone know the classes we will be taking? The bookstores list includes 7 classes and I know we won't be taking that many

For the Spring semester we will be taking:

NURS 3390 Nursing: Intro to the Profession

NURS 3340 Nursing: Health Assessment

NURS 3631 Nursing: Essentials of Care-Adult I

NURS 3410 Nursing: Concepts of Patho/Pharm

I found this information from a degree plan I requested from the Nursing office. Hope this helps.

It looks like books will cost 832.61 for the first semester if you buy them from the school bookstore.

does anyone know where the bookstore is on campus? i'm going down tomorrow and was thinking i would check and see how much the school scrubs are going to run me

Thank you so much!

I talked to the bookstore and they will give you back 20% on your bookstore purchases after about a year! They only do it with the original reciept so keep your reciepts!!!! They said it includes scrubs, supplies and books! So if your planning to buy your books from somewhere else (amazon) make sure the book is 20% below the price of the bookstore so you get the most bang for your buck!

Thanks Courtney!

So I compared buying books at the bookstore to other places and have found this:

BSN JR 3390 Nursing Intro to the Profession

Bookstore (59.95) vs. Half.com (36.49)

BSN JR 3340 Nursing Hlth Assessment

Buy at Bookstore

BSN Jr 3631 Nsg:Essentials of Care-Adult I

Med Surg Buy at Bookstore (175.95)

Drug Calculations Bookstore (60.95) vs. Half.com (30)

BSN JR 3410 Thera Cncpts of Patho and Pharm

Pharmacology Bookstore (94.95) vs. Textbooks.com (55.77)

Pathophysiology Buy at Bookstore

Hope this helps everyone save a few bucks!

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum but have been following this thread for awhile. I am excited to be saying I will be joining all of you who have been accepted for the Spring 2011 Nursing program. I look forward to meeting you all :)

Congratulations!

Thank you! I was wondering how is everyone coming along with their requirements? I know a lady who teaches the CPR course we need and charges 25 dollars. She just needs a minimum of 4 people to put the class together. If anyone is interested please let me know

Wow! $25 is a bargain, count me in!!! I've been looking around and found nothing less than $40. Please email me the details: [email protected] :)
