UTMB RN-BSN online??

Published

I was wondering if anyone knows how many students UTMB accepts for the RN-BSN online program? I live near Beaumont and Lamar University recently added the RN-BSN online and it is "non-competitive" meaning as long as you have good grades you will get in. I was just curious if this is the same for UTMB, I really want to get my BSN from there, but I am not getting any younger so I need to do it the fastest way possible. Any input would be greatly appreciated! :wink2:

For the RN-BSN program in Fall 2007 approx. 40 students were given admission and in Spring 2007 the number was approx. 20 students. I believe you have a 50/50 chance of getting into this program at UTMB.

Hope this helps.

I'm currently in the program (now they start 2 times a year). Currently I think there are about 20-30 in my orientation but I was very surprised there weren't more!

If you can get in online is the way to go...especially at UTMB. It is NOT a difficult program and you only have to go to the school for orientation. Try to have all you pre-reqs done, especially chem, and you should have a better chance.

Believe me...I didn't get in Fall 2007, missed the deadline for Spring 2008 and then got a late acceptance if I was still interested. So...anything can happen, but waiting on a response is a long process!
