Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?
I'm in too!!! I had to do a happy dance! I worked so, so hard. To answer the question about it being conditional, we will formally receive an acceptance letter with some forms to sign I'm guessing. We must also complete BLS CPR for healthcare providers if we don't already have it, provide proof of up to date immunizations, and for those that still have prerequisites remaining, once the semester ends we'll need to show completion with an acceptable grade. And the FBI background check... and a drug screen....proof of health insurance... what else???? Who knows??? We're in!!! Woo hoo!!! Congratulations to others who have received the same invitation. And for those that weren't accepted, keep at it. Now to look up the facebook page.
Conditional in that I'd have to check to make sure I have my immunizations, CPR certification, course prerequisites, and etc. done in time before the deadlines.
